How can you Help!

Help us increase awareness about the important work we do at Feathers of A Flock. By spreading the word through social media, word of mouth, or hosting information sessions, you can help us reach more people who may need our support. The more people who know about us, the more change we can create together. Join our movement and help us amplify our message.

There are many ways to get involved with Feathers of A Flock,  We need our community to get involved by: 

• Cages- Cages should be clean, free of rust, chipping paint, and broken cage bars.  

• Play stands - Play stands should be clean, free of rust, and have no broken parts. Tabletop and free-standing play stands are appreciated.​

• Travel cages - Travel cages for medium and large birds are currently needed. If not new, they need to be sterilized.

•  Food - Must be unopened and not beyond the expiration date. Pellet brands: Harrison's, Roudybush, Zupreem (No Fruit Blend please), and Lafeber (including Avicakes and Nutriberries). 

•  Toys and Toy Parts - Must be new. We cannot accept used toys or toy parts due to the threat of disease. We are especially in need of pine and fir blocks with a hole in the middle. 

• Special Needs Items - Anti-pluck vests and collars made of bird-safe materials. Handicap cages are also appreciated.

• Services - Services such as pressure washing, powder coating, and welding to refinish cages, legal work to review documents, marketing services such as digital printing for flyers, banners, T-Shirts, and window decals.

•  Gift cards - Gift cards for veterinary care, gas stations, pet supply stores, hardware stores, and grocery stores.

   Your donation will help us continue our mission and support our community. Every dollar counts and will make a difference in the lives of our flock that we serve.

We offer a variety of programs aimed at addressing the needs of our bird community. Our community needs a good place to get bird care educated. We help people understand the responsibilities that come with owning birds and how long they live. We teach Bird Care 101, healthy diets, housing, cage sizes, good and bad toys, household hazard items that could kill birds, and the dos and don’ts in food. With the support of our community, we will be able to make a significant impact over the next several years. We want to give them the safe and loving environment they deserve. We aim to offer care, rehabilitation, and ultimately give them a permanent home. We will be able to provide them lifetime care and stability that they deserve! This will also give our community a place they can call their own. They will be able to get help with bird care, planning ahead, and lost or rescues information right here in Cowlitz County.
