Sometimes your best friend doesn't always have to be a human. Sometimes they can have feather's.

Think A Head & Relinquishment

Make a plan and think ahead!

We believe in thinking ahead for your feathered companions. We recognize many birds will outlive their current owners and can pose additional concerns during that time when emergency situations happen. Having a plan in place will give you a piece of mind, knowing your feather companion will be taken care of during such events. We appreciate that you are taking the time to plan ahead in the event you are no longer able to care for your bird.

In addition to your estate plan, we encourage you to fill out the Owner's Wishes List and Emergency Contact List. This means having a destination in place for your feathered companion to go to or making sure that a legal guardian knows your wishes and will carry your plan through. Please make sure you have a well-written bio of your feathered companion's history, medications, etc. Fill free to contact us for a free copy of a Bio Form.

Relinquishment

Sometimes situations change and things just don't work out, but here at Feathers of A Flock we may have a solution to your needs. We believe that exotic birds make great companions but also recognize that it is not always feasible to keep them. If you're looking to relinquish your bird, you've come to the right place. We take in bird surrenders regardless of health, age, species, or behavior. We understand that parting ways with any animals can be especially difficult and we are committed to working with you to ensure the best possible solution for you and your companion. If you are relinquishing your feathered companion due to screaming, biting, feather plucking, aggression, hormonal, or health issues- we might be able to provide solutions to your needs or problems so that you might be able to keep your feathered friend. Please send us an email or call us!
